Walter Faxon Peony
Peony Walter Faxon is a rich, true pink with a sweet, mild fragrance. Medium-large blooms are produced in abundance. The color has been described as a vivid pink of a luminous intensity.
The color will lighten considerably as the flower matures when left on the plant, especially in strong sunlight but the color remains deep when blooms are cut for a vase.
Delightfully fragrant it is one of my favorite pink peony doubles. Its moderate height of about 32” tall is wonderful to mix with tall beaded iris that are in bloom at the same time creating an artists garden worthy of a painting.
