Bartzella Intersectional Peony
If you’ve ever seen a yellow peony, chances are it was Bartzella. It’s a very popular choice and for good reason!
Bartzella gives fragrant double yellow blossoms with red flares on very strong stems that never need staking. A feature of Itoh peonies that gardeners love! Flowers are 6-8” across.
Itoh peonies also offer a longer bloom period and generally more blooms at a younger age than herbaceous varieties. Another plus!
No wonder Bartzella is an APS Gold Medal and American Peony Society Award of Landscape Merit Winner.
Intersectional peonies generally bloom longer than other herbaceous varieties with up to two weeks of flowers. They never need staking and tend to be more disease resistant.
Bloom date rating is week 5/6.
Registered: Anderson, R.F., 1986
3-5 eye roots are shipped or available for pickup in fall.
